RE : DEFAMATION OF CHARACTER To Whom It May Concern ; This concerns the inaccuracy that is unfairly furnished on my consumer report by your organization which I came to know about on XX/XX/XXXX. Due to this inaccuracy, my right to extend credit has been severely damaged to a great extent and as a result, my public confidence has been undermined which is essential to the continued functioning of the banking system pursuant to 15 USC 1681 ( a ) ( 1 ) According to 15 USC 1681 ( a ) ( 3 ), consumer reporting agencies have assumed a vital role in assembling and evaluating consumer credit and other information on consumers. Therefore, I hereby put your company on notice and let you know that neither did I authorize you nor gave you consent to provide this report on my behalf. I also want you to know that your company has assumed a vital role in assembling and evaluating consumer credit and other information on consumers. My means of securing the necessities of life has suffered as a result. Pursuant to 15 USC 1681 ( a ) ( 4 ), a consumer reporting agency must exercise their grave responsibilities with fairness, impartiality and a respect for the consumer 's right to privacy. Your organization neither exercised it's responsibilities with fairness and impartiality nor protected my right to privacy Nothing in the law mandates that information on a consumer or anything be reported to a consumer reporting agency. You are therefore liable I request that you provide me information on the system your organization used to establish whether the transaction occurred or not in relation to the report your organization furnished. Your organization did not adopt such procedures that meet the need of commerce for consumer credit pursuant to 15 USC 1681 ( a ) ( b ).
