Consumer Narrative
AFTER A THOROUGH REVIEW OF MY CONSUMER REPORT, I HAVE IDENTIFIED SOME ERRORS AND WOULD LIKE TO FILE A COMPLAINT BECAUSE I REALIZE THAT MY CONSUMER RIGHTS HAVE BEEN VIOLATED. ACCORDING TO THE FAIR CREDIT REPORTING ACT. 15 USC 1681 ( a ), defines the Rules of Construction ( 2 ) ( a ) ( i ) states the term consumer report does not include any report containing information solely as to transactions or experience between the consumer and the person making the report. Late payments are a form of transaction and utilization is an experience created by credit usage. Transition is reporting late payments on accounts listed as : XXXX merger with XXXX an experience created as a late payment. This information has been sold to a 3rd party and applied to my account without permission. 15 USC 1681 ( a ) ( 2 ) states any consumer reporting agency may furnish a consumer report under the following circumstances and no term in accordance with the consumer to whom it relates. I have never provided TransUnion, XXXX or written instructions to report anything to my consumer report, not to mention the late payments/utilizations. According to 15 USC 1681 602 congressional findings and statement of purpose states, There is a need to ensure that consumer reporting agencies exercise their grave responsibilities with fairness, impartiality, and a respect for the consumers rights to privacy. This also states the banking system is dependent upon fair and accurate credit reporting. Items run which are reported inaccurately appear on the credit report directly impair the efficiency of the banking system and contribute to unfair credit reporting methods. Inaccurate reporting undermines public confidence which is essential to continue the fair and lawful functions of the banking system. The inaccurate reporting of these late payments and my privacy right have been violated due to TransUnion. My Consumer rights have also been violated by allowing late payments/utilization to report on my consumer report. I have previously informed your company to remove this information. With this notice, I am requesting this information to be updated accurately on my consumer report, late payment and utilization reported on my credit accounts.
