Upon obtaining a copy of my Equifax credit report, I noticed that there is an inquiry from an unknown source. This inquiry is one of nature that i did not initiate. I contacted Equifax on XX/XX/2022 to start a dispute or speak with a fraud representative. The agent that i spoke with XXXX stated that she could confirm that no account from this company has been open or reported on my credit report and that the only to have this inquiry investigated and removed was to submit a complaint or obtain a police report. I am submitting a formal written complaint as of XX/XX/2022 asking that Equifax begin an investigation into the inquiry that is reported on my credit report and to please remove this inquiry because it does not belong to me nor have I asked for any credit from this company.
