In XXXX of XXXX I applied for a secured credit card with Discover Card Services. I paid a {$200.00}. deposit fee as stated to be part of the terms in the secured card to establish credit. They opened the account and immediately closed it. When my cards arrived my account had already been shut down with no reason given. They then held my deposit for 2 months before I received it back.They did the exact same thing to my wife and as I did some further research they have done this to numerous people seeking to improve their credit. This action taken by Discover is dishonest and negatively impacted our credit score as we were seeking to improve it, not destroy it. I have asked them to remove the account off my report as they actually never opened my account or did I ever have functioning cards with a open account at any time. We were never asked to Identify our selves at any time. This action taken by them destroyed my employment opportunity and caused my interest rate to go up with several companies I do business with.
