When checking my credit report about 7 months ago, I noticed a collection account on there from Southwest Credit Systems ( SCS ) by way of XXXX XXXX. I had no knowledge of the debt, so I disputed it on all three credit bureaus. I never heard anything back, but when checking on my report, the debt was still there. I then contacted SCS by phone to let them know that it wasn't my debt and need to be removed. XXXX XXXX made a mistake on my account and sent this untrue information to SCS. I have a letter from XXXX XXXX stating that they made a mistake on my account and that a refund would be issued. I've contacted SCS several times to get the item removed, but have been giving the run around when I call. About two weeks ago, I called and at the time was told I owe {$120.00}. The original amount, which is still on my reports is {$730.00} owed. My fist issue, even if I owed the {$120.00}, which I don't, why is my credit report showing me still owing {$730.00}? Another time when I called, the rep on the phone stated that the account was paid in full, which again I don't get because I didn't pay on this fraudulent debt. My second issue, if it's showing paid in full on SCS screen, why do they still have it listed as a balance owed of {$730.00} on my credit report? When questioning the reps, they got real irritated and transferred me to some VP voicemail, which was over a week ago, and I still haven't heard back from anyone. I'm tired of the run around and it seems as I'm getting different information every time, all which is inaccurate, yet they haven't removed the false information from my report. The lady on the line claim that they don't remove or add things to our reports, they just collect on them. The last issue is that I've been contacting this company to get the inaccurate information removed, with getting the run arounds, no call backs and being told anything ... .I look on my report today and it shows they updated the past due amount of {$730.00} on XX/XX/20, which is inaccurate. When I called SCS today on this, the rep said the balance is paid in full. Someone please help, this inaccurate information is causing issues with my credit. Just a side note, these companies always claim that the calls are recorded, please make them pull the calls from my conversation, so that you can hear exactly what I'm talking about.
