Normally, Arvest sends it's mortgage statements at least 20 days in advance. For example, the XXXX statement ( due XX/XX/2022 ) had a statement date of XX/XX/2022. I get the statements a couple of days later and pay it long before the due date. In XXXX, however, something happened. Arvest set a statement date of XX/XX/2022 with a due date of XX/XX/2022. Clearly, I could not get the statement and pay it before the due date. Further, the statement was apparently mailed late, since I didn't receive in until XX/XX/2022. In the statement, they state if the payment is not in their hands by XX/XX/2022, there will be a late fee of {$92.00}. This is clearly wrong. I called the company and was informed that since I could make a payment without the statement, that the late fee would still apply, even though it was their fault that the statement was late. I feel this is unfair. For the record, I have never had a late payment. I have included copies of both the XXXX and XXXX statements.
