I signed a lease in XXXX of XXXX with XXXX and the company XXXX. When I moved in we had communicated that we were looking for a house and was only going to need a 13 month lease. We paid rent every month on time. We had referred several people to the property and were told we would be receiving a {$1000.00} per signed lease after 3 months of them living there. We signed XXXX people. We filled out a XXXX. We have proof. We were asked in XXXX if we had plan to renew and we wrote on a paper and turned in and communicated we would not be renewing. The property got bought by XXXX partners. In XXXX, we were closing on a home. We went down to ask if we could find someone to take over our lease a little sooner and not have to pay the remainder month. They said they had no notice of us leaving with the new company when lease was over and that themselves needed it in writing. I wrote a letter on XX/XX/XXXX to state we would be leaving when lease was up and not renewing. We paid in full throughout lease and returned keys on XX/XX/XXXX. Our lease was up on the XX/XX/XXXX. We paid through the lease. They are now charging us XXXX. We never received the checks for the referral fees we were promised which was XXXX. We should not owe them XXXX. I thoroughly dispute this. I am also asking what legal action we can take regarding this company.
