I have received a Visa gift card for {$200.00} from my friend which was purchased from a XXXX store on XX/XX/XXXX XXXX when I tried to use the gift card, the balance was XXXX XXXX Up on looking into the history of the transactions, the card was used by someone else on XX/XX/2022 at " XXXX XXXX XXXX ''. There were no visible signs that gift card was opened before. it was sealed when I opened the card. This is definitely part of a bigger scam where they know the card numbers and they were able to use it once the card was purchased. I've opened a dispute with the company Incomm Payments ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ) on XX/XX/2022 and the dispute got declined on XX/XX/2022 without providing any details. I've asked for reason for declining but couldn't get any details. Company should be able to verify how many times this card was checked for balance on their website, dates and IP addresses. they could easily find if a card was checked for balance before the activation date or not. companies are not doing enough to protect the consumers from unauthorized gift card transactions and scams.
