This company sent a notice saying that you had to agree to the terms and conditions to keep the account. When reading the terms, they added an annual fee. I did not want to pay this annual fee so I paid my account off in full so it could be closed. There was an option to " opt-out '' of the annual fee, so I did so. The app advised me I can still take time to pay off my balance I just couldn't take out more money from them. My payment was on auto-pay and everything was fine. On XX/XX/XXXX I got a notice that my payment failed, and I needed to submit new banking information. I opened the app to pay and it said I needed to re-connect my bank account. When I went to do so, it told me I had to agree to the new terms to link a bank account. Please note that the terms include the annual fee. I reached out to customer service ( That you can only contact via email ) on XX/XX/XXXX, no one replied to me. I had to go out of the country, and when I returned on XX/XX/XXXX no one had replied so I emailed again. I had to travel again, and when I returned they had yet to reply so I emailed again on XX/XX/XXXX. No one ever replied to me. However, my payments started coming out again by themselves. This was fine as it was being paid. On XX/XX/XXXX I got an email saying my payment was due on XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX I got an email telling me to reconnect my bank account. When I opened the app, it tried to force me to pay again. I reached out to customer service no one ever replied to me. On XX/XX/XXXX I got an email saying my payment date was approaching and I emailed again. No one ever replied I just got a random link in my email on XX/XX/XXXX, that gave me the ability to pay. ( This link came after the payment due date ) I had lost all trust in this company so I paid my account in full. On XX/XX/XXXX I got a notice that said I owed {$1.00} even though I paid my card off in full on XX/XX/XXXX. I opened the app to pay and it said I needed to re-connect my bank account again. I emailed customer support because I refused to agree to the terms and get the fee charged and no one ever replied to me, no one ever replied. On XX/XX/XXXX I sent an email saying I was going to make a CFPB complaint if no one replied and I got a random link to pay again. However, no one replied to me. I paid the payment, On XX/XX/XXXX I got an email that I owed them {$0.00}, I emailed them and told them this needs to stop, I advised them I was going to file a CFPB complaint because this was excessive and kept going. I got a link to pay and they said I owed {$0.00} because I was late with my XXXX payment. I advised them it was late because they were trying to force me to pay a fee or I couldn't pay and no one replied to me, I got the random link again on XX/XX/XXXX. I paid the XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. Today I got a notice from the credit bureau that they reported my XXXX balance is 30+ days late. First of all, we are still in XXXX. Second, I have no payment due on the app, I have gotten no emails, and it has been less than 30 days since my last payment. This is not acceptable. They were attempting to extort me out of their fee, or not let me pay. I email customer support, and I submitted the complaint.
