On XX/XX/XXXX I sent in a letter to all 3 major credit bureaus ; XXXX, TransUnion, and XXXX. I sent the letters XXXX Mail with tracking # XXXX XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX to dispute a bankruptcy being reported on my credit report as XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, with filing # XXXX filed on XX/XX/XXXX. All XXXX bureaus returned letters stating that they did an investigation and verified the bankruptcy as accurate and complete. They cited XXXX and LCI Consumer Center as the companies that verified the information. On XX/XX/XXXX I also sent a letter to the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I sent this letter XXXX Mail with tracking # XXXX. I asked the clerk of court if they report bankruptcy information to the credit bureaus. They sent me a letter stating that they do not report or verify any information to the credit bureaus or any XXXX XXXX reporting agencies. On XX/XX/XXXX I sent letters to XXXX and LCI Consumer Center via XXXX Mail with tracking numbers XXXX and XXXX. I sent these letters to dispute the same XXXX XXXX XXXX and request an investigation. Both companies sent letters to me stating that they conducted an investigation and verified the bankruptcy as complete and accurate. They both cited XXXX as the company who verified the information for them. On XX/XX/XXXX I also sent an email to XXXX to find out if they report information to the credit bureaus or 3rd party reporting agencies. They replied with an email stating that they do not report or verify any information to any of the credit bureaus or 3rd party reporting agencies. They also state on their website that they do not guarantee the accuracy of the information on their website and any inaccurate information should be handled with the XXXX Courts. But as I stated earlier, the XXXX Courts do not verify information. On XX/XX/XXXX I sent letters again to XXXX and LCI Consumer Center via XXXX Mail with tracking numbers XXXX and XXXX. I informed them both that the XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX both stated that they do not report or verify information. I provided copies of the letter and the email as well. They both replied again with the information being verified as complete and accurate and refused to remove this from my file. If this is the case, how did the credit bureaus verify this information and bankruptcy to be 100 % accurate? They could not have possibly completed a fair investigation according to 15 USC 1681. The Credit Bureaus violated my rights several times under 15 USC 1681 : 15 USC 1681 Section 602 A states that I have the right to privacy. 15 USC 1681 Section 604 A Section 2 states a consumer reporting agency can not furnish an account without my written instructions. 15 USC 1681s-2 ( A ) ( 1 ) states a person shall not furnish any information relating to a consumer to any consumer reporting agency if the person knows or has reasonable cause to believe that the information is inaccurate.
