On XX/XX/2022 I became aware of a fraudulent hard inquiry on my XXXX Credit report from American Credit Acceptance. I called American Credit and informed them that I had not applied for credit. I filed an FTC identity theft report and a police report with local law enforcement. On XX/XX/2022 I mailed via certified mail copies of the FTC and Police report and a letter stating that I was a victim of identity theft and that the inquiry on my credit report from American Credit was not valid. American credit received these documents on XX/XX/2022. American credit responded that they would not remove the inquiry in clear violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
