An agreement was reached under the supervision of the state attorney general consumer affairs division for a merchant to cancel a contract and refund me {$6000.00}. This refund was issued to me on XX/XX/2022 on my Capital One credit card ending in XXXX. Even though this card was closed down on XX/XX/2022 for fraud, Capital One assured me that the card is linked to my new card and the credit should post. Till now, I have not seen the credit of the {$6000.00} being posted to my account. I have seen other credits from other merchants that were charged under the XXXX and for which all or partial credits show on my new card. Capital One confirms ( letter attached ) that the credit of {$6000.00} was issued by the merchant but doesn't state why they did not post the amount. The merchant provided me proof of credit issued ; the {$6000.00} withdrawn from his XXXX XXXX XXXX account, Deposit Id to Capital One for the transaction all of which are enclosed here. The agreement and cancellation of my contract with the merchant is also provided here. Capital One confirms that the merchant issued the refund in a recent letter ( attached here ). So what seems to be the problem????? Why are they keeping my money????
