Today, i learned why credit scores dropped. It was a collection on my report from FIDELITY CREDITOR SERVICE. I have no idea of this company nor of the debt they bought from a medical office. I was unware I even had a debt as I have always have medical insurance and the medical office have had this information when I went there once. This is very wrong of FIDELITY CREDITOR SERVICE to just add a collection to my report without my knowledge and I am angry as i read into it I found out this from the CFPB website : On XX/XX/2022, the national credit reporting companies voluntarily announced that they would no longer report certain additional medical collections ( Medical Collections Reporting Change ). Specifically, the companies announced that starting on XX/XX/2022, the time before unpaid medical collections can appear on a consumers report will be increased from 180 days to one year They have no right to collect on a debt that I am not even aware of. No calls or letter was sent to my home address and please reference the above as well that they have 1 year to even report this medical collection that is under {$500.00}. Thank you.
