Hello, My loan repayment recently went up from {$860.00} which was already a difficult payment but manageable to {$1300.00} ( XXXX is the due date ). When I called Salliemae to discuss lowering it back down the only offer received was Forbearance or a Graduate repayment program which lowered it to {$1100.00} for 12 months but then payments would increase afterwards. I cant afford to make these payments. I told them this and I was told We cant discuss adjusting your payments until your account is in collections. Im trying to be proactive and not have my accounts go into collections.. Im also trying to be responsible and do the right thing in paying my loan back. Im just currently unable to afford making those payments.
