There is an account reporting on my credit file that has been re-aged by the debt collector and is inaccurately reporting on my credit report. The account in question : XXXX XXXX XXXX # XXXX This account is tied to XXXX XXXXXXXX # XXXX. The date of first delinquency was XX/XX/XXXX and it is being reported by XXXX XXXX XXXX that the date of first delinquency was XX/XX/XXXX. I asked that the account be verified and it came back verified, however this is not possible since this account was NOT opened in XXXX and has clearly been re-aged. Re-aging a debt is highly illegal and I demand this account be removed immediately, as my consumer rights have been violated. According to FCRA Section 623 ( a ) ( 5 ) ( a ) : " In general, a person who furnishes information to a consumer reporting agency regarding a delinquent account being placed for collection, charged to profit or loss, not later than 90 days after furnishing the information, notify the agency of the date of delinquency on the account, which shall be the month and year of the commencement of the delinquency on the account that immediately preceded the action ''. My rights were violated as this account has shown up as a duplicate on my credit file and is littered with incorrect information and re-aged dates. This must be removed from my file ASAP. I have attached photos of the account in question.
