In XXXX of XXXX, my student loan was transferred from XXXX XXXX XXXX and Resources ( XXXX ) to EdFinancial. Since the student loan pause went into effect on XX/XX/XXXX, I made payments totaling {$5400.00} to XXXX. After the loan was transferred I made payments totaling {$590.00} to EdFinancial. On XX/XX/XXXX I called EdFinancial and requested a refund on all payments I made during the student loan pause. I specified to the representative that I wanted a refund on the payments I made to edFinancial and XXXX. I was assured that I would receive a refund for all payments made since the pause. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX checks totaling {$590.00}, reflecting every payment I made while my loan was serviced by EdFinancial. My student loan balance on the EdFinancial website and XXXX was updated to reflect this. On XX/XX/XXXX I called EdFinancial to ask about the refund for the payments made to XXXX. I spoke on the phone with XXXX and she said she would put in a refund request specifically for the payments made to XXXX. It was unclear if a refund request for the XXXX payments had or had not been made when I initially called on XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX could not give me a timeline on when I would receive the refund on the XXXX payments. As of now ( XX/XX/XXXX ) I have not received any refund and my student loan balance has not been updated. On XX/XX/XXXX I submitted an application for student loan debt relief. I received an email today ( XX/XX/XXXX ) that my student loan forgiveness application has been approved and sent to my loan servicer. But again, my student loan balance has not been updated to include the {$5400.00} of payments made to XXXX.
