I have an old credit card with Capital One Bank - I use it intermittently, with the balance being paid regularly. requested an increase for a credit limit in XX/XX/2022, and received the following rational for refusal of a credit increase " Recent use of this account 's existing credit line has been too low '' I followed up in XX/XX/2022, after taking advantage of their offer to transfer a loan from another bank for XXXX interest for a limited time. This time the denial was very interesting. " Your average monthly payment has been too low '' " Recent payments on this account have been too low '' Given that their offer for a XXXX interest rate transfer does not require more than a minimum payment until the due date, their response was as expected.
