Movement Mortgage has now retaliated against me for filing a CFPB complaint ON XX/XX/2022, regarding my escrow account and a refund OF TAX ESCROW of, XXXX, and intends to charge me for a lapse insurance coverage and report that information! Movement Mortgage has now indicated that I had a lapse in insurance coverage due to their errors. The company responded to my CFPB complaint on XX/XX/2022, via phone call. They informed me that I now had a lapse in insurance coverage due to the fact, that they didn't get the policy binder back in XXXX when my former policy expired. In fact, I had been speaking to XXXX at movement mortgage for two weeks, getting my new insurance information from XXXX XXXX, and he informed me last week, that he had the information from XXXX, my agent at XXXX XXXX. Back in XXXX on or about XX/XX/2022, I advised my then-insurance carrier, XXXX XXXX XXXX that I would not be re-insuring with XXXX XXXX XXXX I also advised Movement mortgage of the same information, via email and phone. I provided the new insurance company with my loan information and was told that the information on my policy would be sent to the mortgage company. Now, on XX/XX/2022, when the new policy should've become effective, the insurance department at Movement Mortgage didn't inform me that it had not taken effect. In fact, Movement mortgage didn't like my new policy, so they went ahead and informed XXXX XXXX, over my intentions, to issue a policy despite my informing them, that I had informed XXXX not to renew. So XXXX issued the new policy without my knowledge, and Movement didn't inform me that they didn't have the new policy information. Now I didn't know until XX/XX/2022, that XXXX had issued a new policy and my new policy was not in effect, so I told XXXX to cancel the reissued policy, XXXX XXXX ( My XXXX Agent ), told me that he didn't know why my policy didn't cancel, that there was an error in their processing system. So, now after about 45 days, I find out about all of this information : 1. That XXXX insurance, had, in fact, issued a new policy. 2. That Movement did not, so they claim, receive my new policy information. 3. That, XXXX insurance hadn't canceled the reissued policy, until XX/XX/2022. 4. That I was not covered by my new policy until XX/XX/2022 when XXXX from the Movement XXXX department called me for the new insurance information. So on XX/XX/2022, I got a new quote from XXXX insurance and effected a policy for XX/XX/2022. I provided that information to XXXX at Movement Mortgage and was told on XX/XX/2022, by XXXX at Movement Mortgage, that he had my policy information and that everything was fine with my insurance, no problem. Just one day after I file my CFPB complaint, I get a call from a XXXX XXXX, where among other things, she said the following : 1. That I had a lapse in insurance coverage despite the fact that XXXX had me covered, from XX/XX/2022, until XX/XX/2022. 2. That I had an Escrow deficit of {$4000.00}, despite the fact that they refunded {$2000.00}. 3. That I had to backdate my insurance coverage to, XX/XX/2022, due to their error, despite the fact that most carriers wouldn't do this for more than 10 periods. 4. That they were going to charge me for insuring for the lapse period, that wasn't my fault. This harassment by Movement Mortgage is clearly facially retaliatory action for filing my CFPB complaint ( # XXXX ), for the missing escrow funds and in violation of Federal Regulations, Laws, and procedures!!!
