on XX/XX/2022 I spoke with a rep at Equifax about my identity theft and potential fraud. I was advised to fax or mail in copy of my drivers license and social security card along with a copy of my police report. I also sent them the documents I was able to get from one of the creditors that advised the inquiry was fraudulent and sent previously to Equifax months prior.I called back 5 days later to confirm if my documents were received, I was told yes and that my request would be processed. On XX/XX/2022 I received an updated Equifax report advising that the inquiries I stated were fraudulent were in fact valid and will remain. I called on the same day and the rep had advised me that an internal process was not completed properly and she would have to resubmit my dispute again and I will get my results within 30 days. On XX/XX/2022 I receive another updated report from Equifax and this time it shows where they deleted the items in question and at the same time validated the items as accurate within the same report. I called Equifax and on rep XXXX advised he couldn't do anything about my file because he couldn't see documents I faxed in only my driver license and social security card. I asked to speak to a supervisor name XXXX, she advised that she could see the documents i sent in but could not validate them to update my account she said another department called the specialty department handled those issues. XXXX could not explain why on my same report the items shows deleted and then the same items showed valid and accurate. XXXX told me I would have to submit a FTC report along with the same documents I sent on XX/XX/2022 that are currently available on Equifax system in order for them to reinvestigate my dispute. So now I have to resubmit this request for a third time because it appears Equifax is not willing to review any of the previous documentation sent. On the updated Equifax report you will see on pages 3 and 4 were the items in dispute were deleted and also validated at the same time.
