On XX/XX/XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXX/XX/2022, all in which i have sent certified Postage from USPS. I submitted a request to block information on my consumer report as I am a victim of identity theft. This is not a dispute, however CRA has chosen to forgo federal regulation and apply their company policy to treat this as a dispute. I called them and XXXX Department manager stated that their policy supersedes FEDERAL LAW ( which states ( a ) Block A consumer reporting agency shall block the reporting of any information that is on file of a consumer that the consumer identifies as information that resulted from an alleged identity theft, not later than 4 business days after the date of receipt by such agency of - ( 1 ) appropriate proof of identity of the consumer ; ( 2 ) a copy of an identity theft report ; ( 3 ) the identification of such information by consumer ; and ( 4 ) a statement by the consumer that the information is not information relationg to any transaction by the consumer. I submitted proof of identity theft report from the FTC, the notices of furnishers, My drivers license, The accounts that are fraudulent and also a statement that these accounts needs to be deleted without recourse under federal law.
