To Whom It May Concern, Back in XXXX while i was an international student, i lived at an apartment complex. when the covid-19 pandemic started, my parents faced financial issues and i had trouble paying my rent in XXXX and XXXX of XXXX. While contacting the leasing office in XXXX, i informed them that i am unable to finish my lease and i will have to go back to my home country because of covid-19. they have deposited my security deposit that covered the 1 month i was unable to pay and for the determination of the lease. I have informed them of my forwarding address in an email. In XX/XX/XXXX, over 2 years later while applying for credit, i have learned that i have a collection debt. in the past 2 years the company has never tried to contact me at my phone number, email address or forwarding address to resolve this issue or to be able to dispute it. The leasing office had all of my communication information available where they could have reached me to resolve this. I had to learn about this collection debt through my credit report! I have tried to contact them to provide proof for the debt in question with no luck. Please help me. Sincerely, XXXX XXXX
