XX/XX/2022 Called Equifax to understand what they are referencing when they say too many accounts open, too short a credit history and late payments. None of that is true. What I was told when i pressed the agent about how many is too many accounts and believe it or not she said 'my understanding of too many is more than one '. I remain flabbergasted one day later. These folks sit in judgment and clearly enjoy having this control over the general public. XX/XX/2022 Called XXXX, had a much better experience and they explained that i had a {$120.00} balance due with XXXX 's. I explained what happened ( wire transfer didn't go through as planned ) and the agent was understanding and said she would note the reason. I asked about all the other derogatory information such as too many accounts open and not enough credit history, she was far less able to answer these inquiries but offered to send me via mail my credit report. saved the most egregious for last : XXXX. You would not believe what I heard from their expert. XXXX claimed she was the XXXX. She told me point blank, " we are not experts ''. I am appalled. They are reporting on very sensitive financial documents that directly impact my credit worthiness and directly impacts my new mortgage. This is truly a travesty. This system does not work and needs an overhaul. I don't say this lightly, I feel victimized.
