I purchased a XXXX XXXX XXXX from XXXX of XXXX XXXX and allegedly according to Santander Consumer USA I made agreements with to pay monthly installments of {$510.00} for 75 months and made a {$2000.00} down payment. Although the car had a used sticker value at the time of around {$17000.00}. The initial balance was {$19000.00} and so far ive made 41 installments on this loan 3 of which were late none exceeding 30 days. I still owe a balanced on my credit report of {$13000.00}. The last three months i have not been able to make the payments, due to my vehicle not being able to run for the past 5 months and now needing a new engine because of a mistake a mechanic made on the car. Also my business recently has been running into some low income and the rising costs of my rent, utilities and other bare necessities has been making the payments very difficult. Its is one of a few things that is causing my entire family of six a massive mental hardship. For this has not only lowered my credit score and but the creditor has already threatened to put derogatory marks on my credit and even some instances where they mentioned collections. Which will do nothing but just subtract points from my low credit score. This is something that has prevented me from buying a home for my family as well as withholding my ability to utilize my credit in the ways I intended. The balance is the largest balance on my credit report and can and i can ill-afford and will not be making any future payments to the creditor.
