I saw a consumer report promoting EXPERIAN XXXX and how it could help improve your credit score when you pay your bills early. I signed up and the credit score it showed was a good XXXX points lower than XXXX and XXXX have been showing for over a year. In the process of signing up, I was asked to link my bank account- when I did that, my score shot right up ( within seconds ) to the same approximate score as the other two showed. I decided to give it a chance but then began to receive all kinds of emails to " upgrade '' - they did nothing but try to sell me things for the month or so prior to my unlinking my bank account. I can't see how any of this should be allowed, and I don't know why they needed my bank account to be linked - that makes me nervous. I usually can spot a scam or fraud a mile away and am upset with myself that I let myself be scammed just because " XXXX XXXX '' XXXX it as a good deal offered by a supposedly reputable credit reporting agency!
