Beginning on XXXX XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX XXXX, I checked our checking account balance and found that someone in California got a hold of our debit card number and started charging over {$1100.00} in food an entertainment! I called the credit union ( America First ) at XXXX. I was sent to call center in XXXX who took my report and supposedly put a hold on the transactions that were unauthorized and not yet cleared out account. Later in the morning, when credit union opened at XXXX XXXX I called again to speak with someone here. They informed us that they have put a hold on the account and to go in and get a new debit card. We did so right away. We were told that this issue would be taken care of in about 3 days and was high priority due to all of the charges. Well, here it is XX/XX/2022 and the credit union has let all transactions go through and empty our account of all funds plus pulled money from a line of credit to cover the fraudulent charges!!! We have had absolutely no money to live on as we had just received our auto deposited pay checks when this happened and the credit union could care less. I called again today, and was told they have just made this high priority but I was told week it was high priority and being worked on. Again we have no money and the credit union is lolly gagging about getting it back to us. We are having to use a credit card through them at this point. They say they don't know how much longer it will take, but we will receive a letter in the mail when complete!!! Very unprofessional and absolutely no security on our money what so ever. We need help, fast.
