My dispute is with Capital One Bank XXXX XXXX who services my credit account for Saks Fifth Avenue XXXX. I had purchased items in XX/XX/2022 which were later returned the same month within the stores return policy however, Capital One is not honoring the return to the extent of the minimum payment due and has increased my minimum due per the computer system recognizing that I still hold the merchandise thus making me owe more in a minimum payment. I have had numerous calls with agents in the customer service depts at Cap One and no one has been able to resolve this matter correctly. My first attempt which was through the Saks customer service team who tried to assist was able to get the minimum payment corrected but I was also on a deferment at the time. The next billing cycle on the monthly statements show a gradual decrease but is nowhere what the minimum payment was before I made these purchases which show on my XXXX statements and now XX/XX/2022. I have provided all statements from when I just made the purchases to where the credits were later posted on my account and the minimum payments were never correctly adjusted. I have been told that if my minimum payment was not collected for {$820.00} which I can only pay what the previous past due which was originally in XX/XX/2022 payment that I would be reported to the credit bureaus as 30 days late. I have come to you for assistance and reporting this mishandling of billing since I am unable to resolve this amicably while having the threat of my credit history and file being compromised due to their inability to fix the minimum payment issue.
