The company is Lendmark Financial. I took out a {$3000.00} loan with this company in XXXX or XXXX. Several months later, I lost my job and was unable to make my payments and the loan was eventually charged off and reported to collections. I took steps to enlist the help of a debt consolidation firm, and they negotiated a lower amount with this company. That was after an employee of Lendmark showed up at MY HOUSE demanding the loan be paid! Fast forward 7 years later, I start getting calls 7 to 10 times a day from a debt collection firm called XXXX. In addition to the frequent calls, which are harassing enough, they are now calling personal contacts. I have heard from immediate familymy parents, my daughter, my ex-husband and my former sister-in-law that they have all received phone calls from this company asking for personal information like my phone number, address, etc. Last week I answered one of these calls and this is the information from that call : Name of Debt Collector - XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX calling for Lendmark Financial XXXX - XXXX ( just one of several numbers they use in addition to Unknown Caller Name of Caller - XXXX XXXX I am told that I owe {$3800.00}, ( {$3000.00} for the original loan amount and {$820.00} in late fees ). I want these calls to me and my family to cease and desist immediately. I have not received any validation letter that explains this debt and have never used my family members as references, nor given permission for them to be contacted in any way!
