Received text message regarding suspicious online activity ( 2 charges ) in the amount of {$350.00} on XX/XX/22 on my Oportun Visa credit card ( card ending in XXXX ). Reported charges to fraud dept twice ( on XX/XX/22 & XX/XX/22 ). Was told that card would immediately be canceled, issued a new card, and fraudulent charges would be removed from my account by the time the new card arrived within 7-10 business days. The new card was received on XX/XX/22 ( new card ending in XXXX ). I was also told that if new card arrived and fraudulent charges were not removed yet, to call customer service back. On XX/XX/22 called customer service numerous times and was put through an endless loop of foreign speaking representatives all claiming that they were incapable of resolving my issue and they needed to transfer me to another dept.and so forth and so on. This occurred for a total of 56 minutes of being told the same scripted dialogue over and over again without resolution. Mind you, I had a XXXX {$0.00} balance prior to this fraudulent activity on XX/XX/22. The last time I personally used the card was on XX/XX/22 in which I charged {$190.00} AND paid the balance off IN FULL on XX/XX/22.
