On XX/XX/2022 I noticed that I was overcharged interest by One main financial through their brightway Plus credit card when I reached out to speak to management in regards to the overcharge I was given the excuse of the interest charge was based off of {$460.00} which was not even my ending balance for the month of XXXX they repeatedly told me that it wasn't for the month of XXXX I was being charged interest it was for the month of XXXX when I explained to them they had already charged me interest in XXXX and if their interest charges are based off of the prior month then I shouldn't have seen any interest at all for my first statement but I did. When I spoke to a supervisor she too gave me the same excuse and the same poor answer when I explained that my ending balance for XXXX was {$68.00} and some change and my interest charge is meant to be based off of that she kept repeating that the interest was charged based on XXXX but my statement says it was based off of XXXX when I asked to speak to a manager in regards to the situation because the charges don't add up and they don't make sense and legally as far as what they're supposed to be charging for interest and how they're supposed to charge interest they certainly aren't following those rules if they're charging me based on my last month as opposed to my last month which is on the current statement there is an issue because that's not what I signed up for I was under the impression that if I paid off my balance before the end of the month which I did that I wouldn't see interest if XXXX 's ending statement showed {$68.00} then I should have been charged interest based on {$68.00} and when I let them know I was filing complaints with the better Business bureau as well as consumer finance they begin to ignore me and refused to assist me they have refused to respond to the better Business bureau and they refused to call me and refuse to address the situation this is a very unprofessional very greedy company because if they're ripping people off on a large scale they're raking in millions off of fraudulent finance charges
