Saturday XX/XX/XXXX, I tried to make my regular car payment to Westlake Financial Services ( XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX, XXXX XXXX, CA XXXX ) for the second time after the maturity date of the loan on XX/XX/XXXX. The payment made XX/XX/XXXX was received no issue, but today it said immediate action required and would not take payment online at www.westlakefinancial.com So I called and found out the previous 5 phone calls over a year apart first starting in XX/XX/XXXX The representatives of Westlake Financial knowingly lied about my loan maturity plan and assured my Husband and I that the car would not go out for repossession as long as we made our payments before the due date at the end of the loan and that no more fees or interest would be charged. When called this morning XX/XX/XXXX they said the account was 60 days past due and the vehicle was out for repossession because the maturity plan was never authorized by unknown " managers ''. So today the " gentleman '' that answered the phone at Westlake Financial tried to extort me for {$500.00} to resubmit the loan maturity plan that may or may not get approved now even though they repeatedly told us not to worry about this EXACT Scenario. This company is a scam I have found out the hard way, my car is a XXXX XXXX XXXX bought used with XXXX miles. Screwed on 29 % APR and some how after all the fees they charge we owe {$13000.00} at the end of the loan. The car has been paid for 7 years and over double the price paid for the car, and every time you call they just seem to lie. Especially looking at the reviews I don't know how they are still in business. Some of the transaction records show {$490.00} applied to interest and {$0.00} applied to principle of the loan
