Consumer Narrative

On XX/XX/XXXX I received an alert from my credit monitoring account that my mortgage was reported as being more than 4 payments past due, and that a payment had not been received since XX/XX/XXXX. This caused my credit score to drop by XXXX points. I was perplexed by this because my mortgage has been in a COVID-19 Forbearance since XX/XX/XXXX. I also had not received a past due notice by mail, or any phone calls regarding my mortgage being past due and in collections. According to my Forbearance agreement I am to check in every 3 months with my Loss Mitigation specialist to provide an update relating to my employment/financials. I last spoke with my specialist ( XXXX ) XX/XX/XXXX and she advised that she would keep my mortgage in the Forbearance status because the notes show that I am currently working with the TN HAF and to check back in with them in 3 months. My mortgage statements ( see attached ) from the last 3 months ( 90 days ) show the status as COVID-19 Forbearance and there have been no late fees or additional fees incurred. If I have been past due since XX/XX/XXXX foreclosure would have taken place by now. I placed a call to the mortgage company on XX/XX/XXXX because of this matter and was told that it was past due from XX/XX/XXXX. That can not be, nor is it the case. My mortgage has been, and is in a COVID-19 Forbearance. I have received no notice that it had ended, nor have I received the REQUIRED exit documents that should be provided once the forbearance ends. It is required by law for me to receive those documents and to establish a repayment plan. It is also illegal for the creditor ( Bancorp South/Cadence ) to report negatively to a creditor in regards to that account. The creditor has caused damage to my credit, and it will likely cause my credit lines to be decreased. I am depending on those credit lines while in this predicament. This should be corrected and updated immediately. Please note that before the start of my forbearance my account was current. I would also like to add that I received a call on XX/XX/XXXX from the creditor checking my status. I advised her that it was in a forbearance, and asked why she was calling me. She provided no explanation and then transferred me to XXXX. I left a message for XXXX that day, XX/XX/XXXX, as well as 3 days later on XX/XX/XXXX to see why someone had called me. On XX/XX/XXXX I learned that I had been reported as negative and upon speaking with a representative on XX/XX/XXXX regarding this issue I was advised that she was no longer there, and that her voicemails were not likely checked
