Phoned Trans Union to unfreeze my credit for a temporary time. I attempted to do it online then called because their system didnt recognize my name and password. I also attempted to set up a new account. No dice. So I called the first agent couldnt find my account to help and hung up on me. The second agent sent a temporary password and link but that didnt work either saying it didnt recognize me. The third agent finally connected me with a supervisor who manually removed my freeze. When I asked him how to fix my account so if, God forbid, I needed to do this in the future, he didnt give me any specific help on how to do this. He spoke in an unintelligible manner. This experience took 4 people on 3 calls and multiple attempts to use the online system. In contrast XXXX and XXXX took one login and about 3 minutes each.
