Consumer Narrative
Navient keeps sending me bills and charging me late fees during the federal student loan pause that is supposed to last until XXXX of this year. This also happened during the last pause as well. I had to go into forbearance because I had budgeted with the pause in mind and then could not afford to make payments during that time. I believe they are also trying to convince borrowers to refinance in anticipation for loan forgiveness, but that the process would actually make borrowers no longer eligible.
