In XX/XX/XXXX when attempting to take out an auto loan I was notified of a delquent account from capital one with a balance of {$20000.00}. They stated this card was opened in XX/XX/XXXX and this was the first i was hearing about it. I called Capital One immeaditly to notify them this was not my account. I filed a police report as well as filed a notice to the FTC. On XX/XX/XXXX a bill was sent for the fradulent account, I contatcted Captial One to inform them there must be a mistake they told me they found me liable for the card and provided no information on how they made this determination. Captial one refused to reopen the fraudulent investigation despite my notification that there is no way this could be mine. I have another valid tradeline with Captial one and it has always been paid as agreed. Capital one should be able to see first hand by looking at their own records and the credit report they would have pulled when the account was opened that I always pay my bills on time and that my credit is very important to me.
