XXXX XXXX credit card company in XXXX admitted sending a card renewal notice to my landline telephone, which can not accept ANY test messages- this resulted in XXXX XXXX charging me for a missed payment, a late fee and finance charges- TWICE. Since I had not used this card for ANY purchases over the prior 12 months I did not monitor this card status.- however, when I did check, on-line in XXXX, I then became aware of this situation and immediately called XXXX XXXX and asked to have this corrected - but the representative informed me that there was nothing he could do - at which point I asked to have ALL accounts CLOSED - which was done. HOWEVER, XXXX XXXX did not remover correct the " 30 days past due '' reporting, which was entirely of their making. I contacted XXXX, Equifax and XXXX, both on-line and by certified letter in XXXX informing of the facts and requesting the the " 30 days past due '' be removed from their reporting. XXXX- changed the posting to " account closed '' at customers request. Equifax, supposedly investigated, but refused to change the posting, while clearly being given self-serving information from XXXX XXXX- who refused to recognize that THEY created the negative situation they were reporting. I am still waiting for the response from XXXX.
