- Reached out to EDFinancial on XX/XX/2022 to request a refund of payments made since the Cares Act was instated as I made consistent and sometimes large payments toward my loans. - EDFinancial stated my request was received on this same phone call on XX/XX/2022 - When asking how long it would take to get my refund/ loans reinstated, I was told six to nine months - When asking if this could be expedited/ expressing my concern since loan payments resume at the beginning of the month, they stated due to the amount of requests, they can not provide any updates or details. - Called on XX/XX/2022 to see if there was any update - same answer, no ability to give a status or timeline. - Called again today, XX/XX/2022 to check again for an update, zero updates, status of the request shows as active on their end but it could still be a long time per representative. They have no timelines to give.
