I recently received a credit alert stating a new account has been added to my transunion report. When I checked, there was a new student loan reported on XX/XX/XXXX that was opened in XX/XX/XXXX for the amount of {$3500.00} and closed in XX/XX/XXXX with a delinquent status. I immediately contacted the servicer as I did not open any student loans in XXXX. When I contacted the servicer, they did indeed confirm I had not opened any loans in XXXX and the loan referred was an old loan from XXXX. I advised the servicer that I have not opened any loans and that this information was never reported to me until it went to my credit report now in XXXX. In addition, I advised the servicer there is no loan in my report from XXXX and the only loan I see in my report is one of XXXX. I was never notified via letters and they advised it was not a requirement. I requested this error to be fixed from my report as I have not opened any student loans in XXXX. The servicer said they will escalate to fix the matter and they will send me a statement. None of those tasks occurred. I then disputed the entry via transunion and the inquiry came back without being fixed. This is only showing on my Transunion report and XXXX accurately do not reflect this account on my report. Please have this error fixed. The fact that the agency is reporting a loan as XXXX for a loan in XXXX and showing a recent delinquency is falsification of records.
