I disputed 2 items erroneous reporting on my Equifax credit reports on four occasions, via USPS Certified Return Receipt mail. The dates of the dispute letters were XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, and XX/XX/XXXX ( Attached ). The erroneous items are : XXXX XXXX, entered as of XX/XX/XXXX for {$490.00} XXXX XXXX reporting 90 days late from XX/XX/XXXX - XX/XX/XXXX The same erroneous information was being reported by XXXX & XXXX XXXX who did thorough investigations and removed the items immediately. Neither of them remain on reports from the other 2 bureaus. The letter sent on XX/XX/XXXX was not responded to until after 40 days of the USPS tracking receipt date. Due to not responding in 30 days the erroneous items should have been removed. The letters on XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, and XX/XX/XXXX- they responded that the information was simply " verified '' but provided no information on how it was verified. When I asked for proof of the investigation in subsequent letters, they simply reiterated that info was " verified ''. Despite the lack of a valid investigation or ensuing reinvestigations and never providing proof of verification methods, the discrepancy still remains with differing info from the other 2 bureaus, who with one letter were not able to verify the erroneous data and removed it immediately.
