I had a Federal Loan being serviced thru Navient.. I clicked on a link on my payment page offering a lower interest rate and a 5 year repayment.. I thought I was just getting a better rate on my loan -- Turns out my loan is now thru NaviRefi -- I had no clue this was a private loan company -- Now i lost all my federal benefits on my student loan. They basically made their site look like i was just getting a lower federal rate on my loan. They basically scam people into taking their private loans and hiding the details on very hard to see fine print.
