XX/XX/XXXX I received a notification fromMRS BPO LLC asking which of 3 options listed would I like to statuary my debt to XXXX XXXX XXXX. This is a debt I have disputed in the past due to the high amount however XXXX could only tell me it was sold to a collections company and they would be in contact. This is the first I have heard from this company and the collection is not on any of my 3 credit reports. I called the agency and asked for validation of debt. After asking several times if I would go ahead and just make a small payment today, the agent finally agreed and said she would follow up in 10 days. I relayed to her my concern was regarding the amount of the debt and I didnt agree with the total. I received the packet from MRS. For starters, the information on the cover letter is very limited and besides my name and address it is incorrect. The information listed os for a PPL account with account number and balance of {$220.00}. Moving past the cover letter the documents are for the XXXX loan, however it does not contain a transaction detail listing showing my payment history. There was a copy of my original 9 page lease, a copy of the letter on how to purchase the car before auction and a post auction bill. No record of any sort regarding payments made to the account. One page lists the repossession at {$750.00} then another lists it at over {$1600.00}. Then there are all these misc fees however when reading through the lease, the only fees mentioned are late payment and based on my monthly payment amount, that would be {$19.00}. So I dont understand misc fees in excess of {$2400.00} on the final statement. And again where are the deductions for payments made? I know a minimum of 23 months of payments were made and that is from my XXXX report page payment history on this entry. Since this company is not on my credit report I submitted a dispute against XXXX regarding the amount. They didnt address the discrepancy regarding amount owed and amount paid either. They concluded with if you have any further questions please call customer service at... Which I did the next day. Just to be told what I was told earlier this account has been charged off and sold to a collections agency we have no information on this account I called MRS at XXXXXXXX XXXX ( their advertised hours of operation are ( Monday - Friday XXXX ). And the recording asked me to hang up and call back during normal business hours. I have tried to get this situation resolved before the repossession and lack of communication and inability to explain the misinformation has made it a nightmare. In addition, this was a voluntary repo. After missing 1 appointment I had to call and reschedule to meet the representative and hand over the keys. I thought certain fees were subtracted for a voluntary repo.
