Our business deposited checks into Santander Bank 's ATM in XXXX XXXX We discovered during an audit that Santander shorted us over {$1100.00} in deposits, as in, we deposited 12 different checks and Santander reduced how much we received due to an error to their ATMs. When approached they acknowledge their ATMs have a 3rd party company service them, and they did not catch these errors in any of their audits. Now they are refusing to credit us the missing funds on some of those checks. We earned the money, we were paid the money, we deposited the money and Santander did not correctly credit our account with that money. During our dealings they told us they were not responsible because we did not catch the mistake ourselves. Additionally they told us we would need to contact the issuer on our own, our customer, to recover these funds. Over a mistake their machines and their lack of oversight made.
