In the XXXX of XXXX, I received emails saying a payment was due on an Amex card. I do not have an Amex card and never applied for one. I ignored the emails, assuming it was spam. When I noticed a drop in my credit months later, I called Amex to file fraud. It was denied because apparently a payment was made on the account. I tried to file another claim with more information but it has continued to be denied, apparently because that a payment has been made at some point on that card. I never made a payment. Around the same time this card is said to have been opened, I had just been granted full physical custody of my son. I believe that this card was applied for, used, and possible even paid one time for by my ex, the father of my son, in retaliation to that decision. He has ALL my information. I have since changed all my passwords and account information, but he still has my social security number and other information about me I can not change. I am almost positive this was him. This is now seriously effecting my credit and I need something to be done about it.
