I received an email XXXX weeks ago about a checking account that I had opened at XXXX XXXX- except I never opened any accounts there. It seems somebody got a hold of my Social Security number, my birthday, and other vital personal information and were able to make a checking account in my name. I have since closed it with XXXX XXXX XXXX, I froze my account on all three credit reporting agencies, And I even filed a police report for fraud. Then I got XXXX credit cards in the mail in both my name and a mans name, to an old address that I have not lived at for XXXX years. I am afraid that because this man has all my information he will keep trying to do things using my identity. This is basically a case of identity theft, and I do not want somebody to continue to use my information.
