My loans came out of forbearance in the Spring. My repayment amount is almost {$900.00}. I begged and talked to Navient about repayment options or plans. a month. Navient staff would tell me that repayment options would cut my monthly payment in half and ask me to complete a questionnaire to determine my new, lower repayment amount. However, the new payment amount would only be less than a {$100.00} cheaper. Interest only was still $ XXXX. None of their repayment options were beneficial to significantly lower my payments like I was told. Navient staff are not knowledgeable about the type of loan I have or the available repayment programs. I was constantly misinformed and misled. Misinformation and lack of knowledge by Navient staff created obstacles to repayment. Even though I was in daily communication with the company, and making payments, Navient continued to call and threaten myself and my cosigner. Calling up to 7 times a day. Navient staff stated that I was lying about owning a home even though it is on my credit report. They questioned every item on my credit report and stated that I was lying about my monthly expenses. Staff criticized my discussion to go to college and take out student loans. I was XXXX when I took out the loans... Even thought I was on a payment plan and making the payments, Navient processed the payments incorrectly. Then Navient reported delinquent payments to the credit bureaus while I was on a payment plan making on time payments. Navient has failed to act when I complained.
