Multiple attempts were made to resolve and reason with Upgrade , IncXXXX, most recently on XX/XX/22. They refuse to even respond. 1 ) Company intentionally provided false information to try to induce a loan. I would have said it may have been more of an inadvertent error. Unfortunately, where the company has utter refused to respond to the issue, take any responsibility, or escalate as requested numerous times, it strongly appears the false information was intentionally given. Specifically, the company stated that I could add a memo line or notation on the purpose of the loan for loan paperwork as a way to get me to proceed with applying for a personal loan. Later, when moving to final stages, something seemed amiss, and the company finally admitted they were not going to allow a memo line. I very narrowly avoided taking out a loan that was falsely induced. Unfortunately, this caused substantial damage to me. There was no longer time for me to find an alternative provider in time for a deadline. I tried tried with another provider, but they took too long for me to proceed. This caused me to miss a reimbursement opportunity for the loan, and it cost me around {$4000.00} in missed reimbursement opportunity and around {$3500.00} paying for something myself because Upgrade, Inc. lied and such was discovered too late for me to take part in a reimbursement opportunity through my employer. 2 ) Upgrade , Inc. has repeatedly refused to close my account. There are no active loans etc. They do not have the right to refuse this. And it compromises my personal security to have an account remain open, tied to my email address. They ridiculously sent repeated auto-responses demanding I call them. I gave more than one request/demand in writing. That was sufficient. 3 ) Upgrade , Inc. refuses to address issues, even fully read requests, or escalate issues. Now, they don't reply and just close support tickets. 4 ) They continue accessing my credit file without having right or legitimate business interest. They refuse to stop a product to show consumers some type of credit score. They refuse to even respond.
