I have disputed the XXXX XXXX Account several times stating that the account is reporting inaccurate information. Each time, Equifax has responded as account information verified. When the collection account was placed on my credit report, the information was inaccurate and never correct. The Original Balance has always been reported incorrectly. Equifax did not do what is required, make sure that all information is accurate before placing it on my credit report as well as investigating all information when disputed. The wrong Original Balance was always reported wrong but Equifax refused to remove the account as well as never attempted to correct the information. This is a direct violation of my rights. I have uploading supporting documents to my complaint. I have provided supporting documentation that shows where XXXX having to give me a credit due to me over paying on my account. A fair investigation has never been completed by Equifax but Equifax continues to report this account on my credit report.
