On XX/XX/2022, I noticed on my credit report a collections being reported in the amount of {$1800.00}. I began the disputing process, and after waiting months for a resolution, on XX/XX/2022 I requested a debt validation letter from the collection company known as Eastern Account Systems. After waiting over 30 days, I called the aforementioned collection company to demand that the debt be removed. To which I was informed that a debt validation letter had already been sent to a previous address. I believe this is a blatant lie, as my address had been updated over a month prior to this company even receiving the debt with both the USPS and NYS DMV. In addition the USPS had instructions to forward any mail received to my current address for an additional 90 days. I believe this a a malicious violation of my rights guaranteed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and demand that not only the debt be removed from my credit report, but also I am compensated for my time and distress in regards to this matter
