On XX/XX/XXXX I had my name changed in court, just my middle name, so supposedly once info is corrected with social security offices it should be " easier '' than if it were my full name, but I still did as I was advised and tried double checking after with the credit unions to make sure my middle name had been changed and didn't run into any issues down the line. No issue with 2 of them, but with equifax not only was the info not changed/updated but. - they say to just make an account on their website. You do this and you'll never be able to login. Doesn't matter device or browser, their site is poorly and insecurely constructed. You're led to a " sorry we can't do that please call this number '' page every single time. - you call that number like I did on XX/XX/2022, and twice last week and the week before ( XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX I think are the right dates ) and you're connected to a call center where English is clearly the XXXX XXXX the call center is very audible in the background in a way that makes me believe the employees aren't given headsets ( I used to work in a XXXX XXXX, for me to hear other operators in the background this clearly you'd have to not have headsets ... which for customer support at XXXX would be one thing but this is a major credit union where SSNs are being thrown around! ). I know they have a script to read from but it was also clear that on each time the operators just couldn't understand me and made no effort to actually fix or help with the problem. All they do is tell you to reset your password and then hang up on you. By try 3 or 4 I was firmly saying I won't be doing that because that's clearly not the problem, the solution, nor ever was. It's very clearly a problem with their website itself. They just keep repeating their script to change your password over and over again to the point that if it weren't for the clearly audible call center in the background I'd think it was a robot I was talking to. - I've sent certified mail and haven't gotten a response yet but I've seen online many others saying they did the same and just got ignored, and ran into the same issue with the same useless call center. Equifax 's support is nonexistent, their site is unesecure and broken, and they don't bother fixing issues or updating account issues when you try to contact them. And there's no way to get around this and try to fix it other ways! I'm at a loss for what to do at this point.
