On XX/XX/22 I was notified via email with the following message.. " Hi XXXX, Your company was recently submitted by XXXX XXXX XXXX as a 'XXXX XXXX XXXX ' referral to American Express XXXX Schedule an appointment with me at your convenience to discuss how American Express can help move your business forward. I'm looking forward to our chat. Thanks! XXXX XXXX '' I received a phone call from this person stating we " had a scheduled appointment. '' which we did not. I was told I qualified for their American Express Business Credit Card. I was excited because I had just joined the XXXX XXXX XXXX to help improve my credit score which is not good. " XXXX '' went through all the steps of the card process as if I were approved. Then transferred me to someone else that let me know they ran my credit report and I was denied. I asked for this inquiry to be removed from the credit report because I did not give anyone authority to run a credit report. I was told I would have to call the credit reporting agency because they could not take it off. This has further damaged my credit report from the last two credit card scammers who did this to me and lowered my score.
