I am a legal resident of Texas and my vehicle is registered with Texas. I am also a 100 % disabled Veteran that is going through some really difficult financial strain with my fixed income from only the XXXX XXXX. I have spoken to my creditors about this situation and have asked for a little leniency while I get myself in better financial stability. This was not offered or respected from this company as they elected to have my only means of transportation repossessed for being 30 days late on a payment. I had to deliver a payment of {$730.00} ( {$320.00} for current and late payment, fee of {$9.00}, and {$400.00} for repo ) on a budget that is not forgiving of any mistakes. Having no vehicle would mean a loss that I would not recover from financially, so I paid what they asked. I am now on the verge of being homeless and my credit is shot so finding another apartment is extremely difficult. Also, under Texas law, I am given protection from seizure by a creditor one vehicle for each member of the family with a driver 's license. I have no idea on how to deal with them when I try to discuss my options, to them it's pay-up or repo.
